The story of The Sidewinders.
It all started in 2003 when Greger Hagström and Anders Boijer were
discussing advertisingmaterial for Anders’ shop, and the discussion
turned over to music. Anders was playing the drums in an acdc
coverband and in a 60´s coverband.
Greger on the other hand, hadn´t been playing in any bands for 8 years
and had barely touched any of his guitars during that period. Anders
suggested that they’d start a band together and Greger said why not,
so Anders then left Gregers shop and called back 10minutes later
and said “well now we have a bass player, when do we start rehearsing ?”.
He had called his friend Rune”Muzy”Lågland who was playing guitar
in the coverbands with Anders ,asking him if he wanted to take up the
bass in a blues and boogieband.
So The Sidewinders started rehearsing some old covers and some
of Greger’s own material and after about 6-7months the first gig was
at hand . After a few gigs as a trio guitarplayer Michael Bjolin
was asked to join the band , to be able to play more versatile.
The band had some gigs and started to work really fine, and even
some material for a cd was recorded, but in 2004Anders had decided
to move to Åland with his family.

Anders Boijer moved "abroad" to Aaland with his family
2005 Kim Friis was asked to replace Anders on the drums and since
January he´s been playing with the band.
2007
September guitarplayer Bjolin
decided to take a break from the band
